Custom Blower Fan Lowers Noise, Optimizes Airflow and Decreases Part Count for Ultra Small Projector Application

Prior Challenge:
A well known projector manufacturer designed a unique compact mobile projector. The challenge was to make the fans acoustic performance as exceptional as the aesthetics. Torrington took this opportunity to develop a revolutionary air movement solution featuring higher performance and lower noise levels than any projectors on the market.

The Torrington Solution:
Our engineers worked with their design team to integrate a bifurcated blower and in the process, reduced the system fan count from three to one. This surpassed their noise reduction requirements and also allowed the customer to add features because of the reduced unit size. This particular application reduced noise levels by 5 dBA.
