Bergquist partners with Hampshire Company, a leading chip manufacturer, to supply optional controller chips for use with the 5-Wire controller board. Hampshire chips are designed to provide you backward and forward compatibility.

For embedded applications, Hampshire chips dynamically decode 5-wire resistive analog touch screens for RS-232, PS/2, and USB communication. Each chip is equipped with an on-board A-D converter and Hampshire's own touch screen decoding firmware. Because they are produced with standard off-the-shelf silicon, Hampshire controller chips have never become obsolete. All chip code revisions are written and supported in-house to ensure future compatibility as well as fixed available source code for past firmware revisions.
